Cheap mobile cell phone plans – Straight Talk wireless best cell phone plan that is prepaid

by admin on February 3, 2010

As you may already know, we here at Healthy Financial Habits are advocates of Straight Talk wireless because it is simply the best deal available at this time.

Straight Talk wireless is a prepaid cell phone service that is operated by TracFone and offers two simple, straightforward plans. The plans that they offer are the “All you need plan” and the “unlimited plan”.

The all you need plan includes 1000 minutes, 1000 text messages, and 30MB of mobile web access. In addition, you have access to 411 calls at no extra charge. The all you need plan is perfect for the casual phone user who uses their phone less than half an hour per day or less than 4 hours per week.

The unlimited plan is simply unlimited everything. This means unlimited minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited mobile web access. This plan also comes with 411 calls at no additional charge. This would make a great phone for someone who enjoys talking on the phone or needs unlimited talk time for business use.

Perhaps the best feature that both of these plans offer is the price. The all you need plan will set you back $30 per month while the unlimited plan only cost $45 per month. There are several ways to pay for or refill your service. One way is to purchase a refill card from Walmart. These cards are available exclusively at Walmart in the prepaid phone section. You can also refill these cards online at the Straight Talk website. From here, you have the option to execute a one time draft or a set up a reoccurring payment every month.

If you are concerned about phone service Straight Talk has you covered. They operate on one of Americas best networks covering the majority of the United States.  There are no roaming charges so feel free to travel wherever you want to.

Want to change providers but are unwilling to because you want to keep your current phone number? With Straight Talk you are able to keep your current phone number by porting it to your new phone.  The process is simple and takes only a few minutes.

Several staff members at Healthy Financial Habits have made the switch to Straight Talk wireless. Personally, I am saving $30 per month or $360 a year by using Straight Talk. We all agree that Straight Talk’s coverage is comparable to other large providers. Stop paying too much for mobile phone service and make the switch.

Just to let you know, I just scheduled my termination date for my Sprint account and look forward to great savings with the Straight Talk plan. Thanks to you, all my questions were answered and you did the research for me, saving me alot of time and effort.
I really like your website and will tell all my friends to check you out.

I have a question…had anyone had a new service appear when the internet opens? It says New Service Offering
NEW! MSN Mobile
NEW! iGoggle
NEW! Yahoo! Mobile

Ever since they added that screen I can’t get into the Yahoo mail. It says
HTTP Error: 502 Bad Gateway.

Thanks, I’d love some advice.

I have to agree – Straight Talk is an amazing deal. I switched over from my previous carrier as soon as I could pay the cancellation fees and was it worth it! Straight Talk is saving me $50 a month and I am on the amazing Verizon network so I don’t worry about dropping calls. The $45 unlimited plan works out great for me since I am always on my phone and had to deal with overage fees all the time – not anymore. Even the selection of phones are affordable and much better than you would think a pre-paid company would have. Walmart is truly the place for a great deal and I recommend Straight Talk to everyone.

When Walmart took on StraighTalk I knew the cell phone world was about to be rocked! Problem was, I was still under contract with Verizon and paying premium for the same fabulous service they give their customers, that I now know is also available with the StraighTalk. So, even though I still had about six months left on my contract I was able to get out early with a very small fee. My bill has dropped from $160 on the average to $45 a month and because I was already used to a smart phone I just purchased the StraighTalk Finesse. All in all, with smart phone included, I will now pay less than $1,500 for TWO YEARS shaving more than $2,000 off my expenses. This is a good chunk of cash!!! So do your math and do yourself a favor and brake the big cell phone company contract and get yourself value with the Straightalk. I did and I’m laughing all the way to the bank!

Not only is Straight Talk an awesome deal – it makes for a great Valentine’s Day gift!! I know – creative right? My husband’s cell phone contract expires this month so it’s no loss making the switch to prepaid. Right now he’s on a 750 minute a month contract, which is not nearly enough. With Straight Talk he’ll get unlimited text and calls for only $45. Plus, he also gets web access (a new for him). I’m getting his the Smsung R451C (slider QWERTY Keyboard) which already comes w/ a 30 day plan included (only available at WalMart). What’s more, Straight Talk is serviced by Verizon so I’ll never get the “sorry the call was dropped” excuse from him… I hope. No doubt a great gift all around!

have to say, I’m sold!! i buy straight from the straight talk website. cheap, cheap, cheap. service is just as good as anyone else – a bit slow at times because of cultural differences, but all reps are quite eagar to help. as long as you have a few extra moments your problem will still be resolved. besides, why do you even have to call into cs anyways!?!? the only reason i called into my major carrier (sprint) is because the bills were so questionable at times. the explanation of the bill by the cs was equally confusing and convoluted.

i am cheap and enjoy a good deal. i refuse to be in debt. it’s not about how much money you make, it’s what you do with the money you have. blessings.

I’ve been using the Straight Talk service for three months. Perfect. Not a single dropped call, good reception everywhere, excellent full Qwerty on the Samsung slider. I liked it so much my wife has changed over and now my daughter too. We were also offered a deal where if we use the auto-billing for 12 months they throw in a month free. That will make our $30 plan cost $27/month. We had been T-Mobile pay-as-you-go customers for years, but our needs increased just enough so that we needed to find a plan with more minutes. We’re now paying only slightly more than the T-Mobile phones but we get a LOT more minutes. And, now we’re all texting a lot more because, well, 1,000 is a lot of text messages – for all except idle teens. I can wholeheartedly recommend this service. Only bad part, you have to buy it at Walmart – not known for their customer friendly service.

I got rid of my landline and kept my cell phone but then refined the process further by getting ride of my contract! I got Straight Talk on the Verizon network. Bought it at Walmart and it’s an amazing deal. The Samsung Finesse is a very cool smartphone and paying only $45 a month for unlimited everything is the best deal going!
