Many people are still unsure of the time that the 2010 winter Olympics begin tonight?
According to the NBC Sports website, coverage begins at 7:30pm eastern time February 12th. The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:00pm eastern time.
Coverage between 7:30pm and 9:00pm Eastern Time includes ski jumping, normal hill qualification, and alpine downhill training runs. During this time they will also have interviews with the athletes.
At 9:00pm Eastern Time the opening ceremony is scheduled to officially begin when the final torch bearer, no longer believed to be Wayne Gretzky, will enter the first-ever indoor opening ceremony and light the cauldron. Opening ceremony events are scheduled to air on NBC until midnight.
Further coverage will continue Saturday February 13th with competitions such as alpine skiing, biathlon, freestyle skiing, short track, ski jumping, and speed skating. Other competitions in the upcoming days include bobsleding, cross-country, curling, figure skating, hockey, luge, Nordic, skeleton, and snowboarding.
