There is a new movement in the United States when it comes to producing electricity. Many homeowners have made the decision to install solar panel energy systems and wind turbines in their home. By installing an energy star product, they are taking advantage of the energy star tax credit and other tax incentives.
As more Americans discover the benefits of clean energy and the tax advantage of installing energy producing solar panels, solar power will soon be in the homes of millions of Americans. Several people have already taken advantage of tax credits last year and many others continue to install clean energy systems and take advantage of free electricity.
While the largest tax break that you will probably receive will probably come from the federal government as part of the Energy Star tax credit, there are several other tax breaks that are being offering by each individual state. Check you state to see if you qualify for any tax breaks. For example, the state of California is huge on home solar systems and offer several incentives to install a system.
When it comes to deciding if a home energy system is good for you, consider how long it will be before you benefit after the cost of installation. Find a break even point and make a decision from there.
